Description
On this private tour , from Porto Almond Trees in Bloom, you will discover the Alto Douro region, where spring arrives at the end of February. The hillsides of Vila Flor, Freixo de Espada-à-Cinta, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Mogadouro and V.N. Foz Côa are adorned in white and pink to welcome it, in a unique display of rare beauty. However. Don’t be fooled if you think you fully appreciate this spectacle unless you’ve walked along these slopes covered in clouds of flowers that fall gently to the ground, creating a carpet of pink snow, illuminated by the sun. The pleasure of the hike we suggest through the slopes of the Côa Valley is rivaled only by the joy of tasting the magnificent local products, such as almonds, olive oil, or DOC wines. You can also visit the Côa Museum and marvel at the diversity of Palaeolithic hunter-gatherer art.
